Today I want to take a look at the marketing process — an area I personally believe needs to be emphasized in our industry a lot more.
Unfortunately most people are taught wrong. They approach marketing as selling and selling as getting some unwilling prospect to buy something he or she doesn’t want or need.
Well if you are marketing your business this way, then be prepared to FAIL!
I personally have no interest in trying to sell something to someone who doesn’t want it, and I suggest you don’t either. True marketing is based on a simple – yet quite profound philosophy:
We’re looking for people…who are looking for what we have.
Put into more specific terms it means this: Our job is to identify qualified prospects — then put our marketing message in front of them. Give them enough information to make the right decision for them.
If that means they join your opportunity or buy your product, good. If it means they don’t, that’s good too. Your job is not to sell your opportunity or products to those that don’t need or desire them. It is to find the people who want what you have and give them enough information so they can decide if getting it from you is a fair exchange of value.
Don’t Sell – Sort
People are motivated by different reasons and many will surprise you. Those you think won’t...will. Those you think will…won’t.
Some people have legitimate reasons why they won’t become a customer or get involved with your company’s product, service or business opportunity, and that’s okay.
Sorting for Prospects
The most important thing for you to understand about any network marketing opportunity is that we are in the SORTING business, not the selling business!
When you are looking for qualified people to join your business opportunity, think of it as sorting apples or categories of people. There are four types and whether you are establishing your team through your own effort or helping agents you sponsored acquire new agents, you will always encounter people in these categories.
RED APPLES are motivated people who see the vision and once they hear your explanation, they immediately want to know how to get started. They are real easy to recognize by their enthusiasm. Your goal should be to look for and work with Red Apples. GREEN APPLES are people who need or require considerable amount of time to make a decision. They will have to think about it or they may have to talk it over with their spouse. They ask for lots of literature and information. If you work with these people, you will find that they “spend” your time and time is your most valuable asset. Share marketing material carefully with these people and ask them to call you within 48hours. If they are interested they will call. If not, be prepared to let them go. It could be that the timing is just not right for them but they may be open in a few weeks or months. They may not be prospective agents now, but never take them out the loop. Get back to them from time to time. Green Apples can ripen into Red Apples. ROTTEN APPLES are very easy to recognize. They are the people that tend to be negative or skeptical. They are not in need of any help or opportunities to better themselves. They may go out of the way to avoid contact with you. Not only can you recognize that they are not interested in any product or business opportunity but they will try to convince you that it doesn’t work or that its a SCAM! Stay away from these types of people! They will only drain your energy and rob you of your motivation and enthusiasm.
Rotten apples could be considered “dream stealers.” They are not only opposed to trying the service and/or the opportunity, but they also try to convince you that there is no opportunity for you.
Stay away from these people!! They will only drain your energy and enthusiasm. Remember, in reality there are no dream stealers. Only you can give up on your dreams.
But wait what about GOLDEN APPLES?
GOLDEN APPLES are rare.
They are open minded people. They are the type of people that instantly see the benefit in what you have presented them.
They may inquire about how to get involved before you can present it to them.
The main difference between successful representatives and unsuccessful representatives is what they do with their time. Spend 80% of your time sorting for and working with red apples, 20% of your time with green apples, and 0% of your time with the rotten apples. Remember that you can’t change people; you can only offer people an opportunity to change themselves.
The minute you recognize that someone is a rotten apple, don’t pursue them. Concentrate on the red apples.
REMEMBER: You are looking for motivated people (Red Apples). From time to time you will find a Gold Apple mixed in with Red Apples. Avoid Rotten Apples and be careful about spending too much time on Green Apples, but keep everyone informed from time to time. Situations Change

There really are no Paycation products.
The company provides travel-related services and travel education.
Paycation associates can only market membership to the company itself (which provides access to these third-party travel partners like Xstream Travel).
The company claims that Customers get access to discounted prices on travel, hotels, car rentals and cruises.
How to promote the products
Many associates leverage the power of the internet and through their own websites and social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
Paycation provides a marketing system for their Independent Associates. A marketing system is a must have for any Paycation associate that desires to have a profitable business.
Marketing systems consist of lead capture pages you can use to send your prospects to and autoresponders (automated follow-up email system).
So how did the Top earners become so successful?
The Top Paycation earners build their businesses totally different than the masses do.
The top earners who are making money in Paycation are great at marketing, both offline and online.
They know how to generate traffic and leads, and then convert those leads into sales, and they know how to recruit the best people into their business.
The teams that seem to be successful are using other lead marketing tools in order to train their group on internet marketing techniques and give them the tools and knowledge to generate their own online leads.
If you want to become a top producer, you will need a powerful lead marketing system to foster and build a relationship with your prospects.
Not understanding how to drive traffic to their capture pages or having a high converting lead marketing system is why most Paycation associates fail; because they follow the masses and get the same old results.

The Compensation Plan
Can you make money with this business opportunity?
That my friend is the million dollar question.
Paycation calls it’s compensation plan the 3D.
It is actually a combined network marketing unilevel and matrix plan.
What is a unilevel plan mean?
This means is you can only recruit people front-line to you. The more people you personally sponsor, the wider your organization grows
You also earn a percentage through a certain number of levels of distributors within your organization. The higher the rank you achieve, the more levels from which you can earn commissions.
NOTE: A network marketing Unilevel Plan is a compensation plan which permits the affiliates to introduce new comers in its front line. There is no restriction for width i.e. a members can sponsor unlimited in width under his/her frontline and compensation distributed up to the limited depth. Further all frontline also efforts to do the same for earn bonuses or compensation.
What is a matrix plan mean?
The Paycation Travel compensation plan also incorporates a forced matrix (3×7) plan tied into various membership levels.
NOTE: A network marketing Matrix Plan also known as ladder Plan or Forced Matrix Plan is a compensation plan in which members which are organized in a particular width and depth are compensated when they achieve a set level. The network marketing company can set structure for members to qualify a particular level that may be 3 in width and 7 in depth. In other words a distributor only can introduce 3 as his front-line and a member can earn compensation up to 7th level. A forced matrix means that anyone who joins under you is placed underneath you in a matrix. You can also get spillover from your upline as they fill up their own matrices.
You must be a qualified Referral Travel Consultant (RTC) or higher to be eligible to earn 65% to 75% of commissions paid to Paycation from their vendors and suppliers for travel booked through your Paycation travel website.
Qualified RTC’s or higher rank are paid “Coded Bonus” commissions on all personally Enrolled active IA’s after your first two – with no limits.
So, beginning with your third personal IA, you will be eligible to earn both the “Personal Sales” commissions AND “Coded Bonus” commissions on RTC’s and CTC’s.
Note: A complete 3X7 Matrix that is filled with everyone in the Matrix paying $59.95 monthly pays out $25,000 monthly.
Associate Membership Ranks
There are five associate membership ranks within the Paycation compensation plan. Listed below are the criteria to qualify for each:
Executive – must have purchased Referral or Certified Travel Consultant affiliate membership and have recruited at least three Referral or Certified Travel Consultant affiliates – recruit at least 6 associates (three or more of which must be Referral Travel Consultants or higher)
Regional Executive – enroll 6 associates (at least three of which must be Referral Travel Consultants or higher)
National Executive – enroll 10 associates (at least six of which must be Referral Travel Consultants or higher)
International Executive – enroll 15 associates (at least three of which must be National Executives in three separate unilevel legs)
Presidential Executive – enroll 20 associates (at least three of which must be International Executives in three separate unilevel legs)

The Cons
Target audience is limited to those seeking to travel.
Requires $59.95 monthly fee in order remain active as associate and participate in the compensation plan.
Most of the commissions don’t kick in unless you recruit someone into the company and the residual is tied into themselves bringing people. Comp plan that will require heavy recruiting and building large teams to sustain and maximize income potential.
Matrix compensation plans can create what is addressed as “spill over, ” which is dependent on the work of those above you (i.e. your upline). This can potentially attract passive – or “lazy” – distributors that will make no effort to generate their business, but instead will simply wait to profit from the work associated from others.
Additional cost: annual $40.00 renewal fee for RTC’s and CTC’s.
ARE THERE ANY CONCERNS OR RED FLAGS ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY?

At the time of this post there was only one Traverus complaint for this company over a three year period.
At the time of this post there two Xstream Travel complaints for this company closed over a three year period, one within the last 12 months.
Is the Paycation Travel business opportunity right for YOU?
If you are interested in travel products then Paycation may be a good fit for you!
To join Paycation and become an associate you have two options:
1) Become a Referral Travel Consultant (RTC) for $99.95 and $59.95 monthly, or
2) Become a Certified Travel Consultant (CTA), you have to pay $149.95 and $59.95 monthly for the travel membership.
NOTE: Another option, not widely discussed or emphasized in Paycation travel presentations is to join as an Independent Associate (IA), Travel Club Member, for $40.00 and a $29.95 monthly fee. This includes Travel Club Membership (IA’s earn on personal sales and are eligible to qualify for the Paycation Residual Commission Program).
This package also comes with your own Travel Club website and back office to track your organizational growth and commissions. IA’s if qualified earn in the Paycation Commission program and on personal sales to customers.

In conclusion, you are doing a good thing researching Paycation Travel reviews.
Make sure you get to know as much about the company as you can before making a decision.
But also understand that if you are new to the direct sales and network marketing industry that your success will come from your ability to generate continuous leads in order to make sales.
I am not a fan of compensation plans with a matrix design, however Paycation seems to have a balanced compensation plan that balances out recruitment with a strong sales commission.

Example: When people join for free after you, the system will notify you that “JOE SIGNUP” just joined after you, and if you do not upgrade by the cut-off date then you will lose that commission from “Joe” if “JOE SIGNUP” decides to upgrade on or before the cut-off date.

Most people that start their own home based business are trying to achieve Three Things:
1) Residual Income
Residual income is recurring income that continues to come to you long after the work you’ve done to produce it has ended. There are lots of ways to produce residual income. But many people don’t understand it. Others have never thought about or been exposed to it. And unfortunately, many ways of producing it are out of reach for ‘average’ people.
2) Leverage (of Time and Money)
Every successful person or business (in or out of Network Marketing) takes advantage of leverage. There’s only 24 hours in a day! And no matter how talented you are or how much you get paid per hour, if you don’t take advantage of leverage you’re limited by the number of hours in a day. By learning to leverage your time, you can also benefit from a percentage of other people’s efforts, and dramatically increase your income and freedom.
If you’re reading this article on the Internet (on my website or someone else’s), or in a magazine, that’s one simple example of leverage. I don’t have to be physically present to teach you something. I may be sleeping, or vacationing on the other side of the world while you are learning or sharing this information.
Unfortunately in most traditional businesses, the only ones who benefit from leverage are the owners or stockholders. The loyal, hard-working employees do most of the work. The unique and wonderful thing about the Network Marketing business model, is that everyone has the same opportunity to become the ‘owner’ of their own business – with a fraction of the investment of time and money of a traditional business or franchise.
And instead of worrying about training people to become your competitors, in network marketing the people at the top have a vested interest in helping others on their team succeed.
Again, the question I ask prospects here is:
“If you had the choice to receive 100% of one person’s efforts, or 5% of 100 peoples’, which would you choose?”
And again, if they answer 100%, either: 1) they’re not a good prospect or, 2) they need a remedial math class or additional education.
Many talented people would rather just depend on themselves, and have difficulty grasping the importance of this concept.
Obviously 100% of one is always only one. But 5% of 100 is five. That’s a 500% increase and is significant! And with synergy, sometimes it can be even more!
Not only will the total result with leverage almost always be a lot more, but your income is not dependent on only one person. If it is, and that person gets sick or injured, disabled, dies, quits working, or decides to go on a long vacation, your income could stop!

3) Duplicability or Geometric Growth
The best illustration I’ve seen of geometric growth is the penny-a-day example. It’s also frequently used to illustrate the benefits of tax free compound interest.
If you start with one penny, and double it every day 30 days, how much will you have at the end of 30 days?
If you haven’t heard this before or don’t remember, go ahead and take a guess. Day two you’d have 2 cents; day three you’d have 4 cents, then 8, 16, and so on. How much at the end of 30 days?
I’ve never had anyone who hadn’t heard this before come close. So don’t feel bad if you don’t, and I promise not to laugh. Ready? Did you pick a number?
Would you believe over FIVE MILLION DOLLARS?! ($5,368,708 to be exact!) That’s right! Most people don’t believe it until they punch it out on a calculator. And even then it’s sometimes hard to fathom. But it’s true. Isn’t that amazing?
That’s a simple illustration of how networking can work. If I can teach you, I’ve doubled myself. If we each teach someone else, we’ve doubled again. And as this goes on and on it can produce amazing results in a relatively short period of time, just like the penny example.
The easier your program is to do and the lower the cost to get involved, the more people you can appeal to and the more potential for geometric progression to work. Programs that are too complicated or expensive for ‘average’ people to do will always hinder your growth.

Education and training also includes books, software, annual conferences or weekly meetings
Security systems
Moving expenses
Tax preparation, accounting and record keeping fees
Health insurance (mainly in the US)
And if you are in it for the long term, in some areas across the world you can also pay two of your children, tax free, if they are involved with the business.

People have heard this for years and don’t even understand the true meaning of a pyramid structure. Some have called the pyramids of Egypt the strongest structures known to man. Ok, I am being sarcastic.
Actually I am referring to a common objection uneducated people make about direct sales and the network marketing industry.
Most people do NOT understand the differences between a Ponzi Scheme, a Pyramid Scheme and a Legitimate Direct Sales company like Amway that use the network marketing business model.

Let me be very clear in what the difference is between a company with a hierarchy and a pyramid scheme. In the first, the number of people employed depend on the amount of money available to pay them.
If one has studied (business) organizational management, the people at the bottom of any organization in the workforce are the least paid.
Think about it!
Now according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC),
An illegal pyramid is when distributors are signing people up and not exchanging a valuable product or service.”
The compensation structure of a network marketing company does not mean it is illegal.
Now you should definitely know and understand the fundamental differences between a legitimate network marketing business and a Ponzi scheme and Pyramid scheme.

Get back to them from time to time. Green Apples can ripen into Red Apples.
ROTTEN APPLES are very easy to recognize. They are the people that tend to be negative or skeptical. They are not in need of any help or opportunities to better themselves. They may go out of the way to avoid contact with you. Not only can you recognize that they are not interested in any product or business opportunity but they will try to convince you that it doesn’t work or that its a SCAM! Stay away from these types of people! They will only drain your energy and rob you of your motivation and enthusiasm.
